Shimano Stick Control Five Speed Stick Shift and Parking Brake combo, for SINGLE top tube bikes. This is similar to a Murray Eliminator, Huffy Rail, Slingshot or Twin Stick or Sears Screamer shifter except that it's for a single top tube. I'm not sure what banana seat bike it would have come on originally.
This original NOS parking brake / 5 speed lever is complete EXCEPT for the mounting bracket (should be possible to find a similar Shimano bracket that would work, or fabricate one) and the shift cable. Luckily, the extremely rare brake cable is included, which is a good thing because it is specific to this type of parking brake- you can't just use a normal brake cable as this parking brake operates in-line with the handlebar brake lever. This cable is for sale on eBay used with an asking price of $100USD.
This is the perfect addition to your banana seat bike restoration, or stick shifter collection. Be sure to ask for measurements if you want to check if it fits a specific frame that you have. While in good condition for its age, please notice that it was not stored in any original packaging and it has some scuff and corrosion (see side of plastic cover specifically), as well as a little sun fading. So please do allow for shop wear or other signs of the 60ish years that have passed since manufacture. I have not made any attempt to clean the shifter, I'm leaving that to the new owner.
