Description:
This auction is for a pair of child studies dating from c.1890 made from Continental Porcelain (probably German).
These two statues show 4 boys playing piggy back with one boy urging his partner to go faster, and the other boy watching to see how their friends are getting on. A delightful pair that look so good together.
Each statue stands approx. 5" high and the base has a 2" diameter.
All hand painted with the painters initials are on the bases.
One pair are in perfect condition. The other pair (see last 2 photos) has a repair to one boys head. This cannot be seen when displayed. However the price has been set to reflect this.
