Vintage Empty Oak Cutlery Storage Box approx. 15ins x 11ins with Felt Interior

 

For sale is a vintage solid oak cutlery storage box (empty) with blue felt interior.

 

In reasonable used condition despite being well used and could be turned into a useful box for other purposes – such as for fishing floats or flies and even a tool box.

 

There is an empty brass cartouche on the top and a dent in the oak not far from it.  The escutcheon is brass as is the lock plate, but the brass lock back plate is missing as is the key. The lock is marked ‘British Made’.

 

There are brass hinges with stays either side to keep the lid open.

 

The interior felt is in average condition as shown in the photos.

POSTAGE
Goods are despatched within 48 hours of payment being cleared into my account. I obtain a certificate of posting in the unlikely event that an item goes missing. Royal Mail's standard policy is that they do not class an item as missing until 15 working days have passed from the date of posting. Costs quoted are for UK only.

RETURNS
I will do everything I can to ensure satisfaction. However, items are sold as described and seen. I describe everything as I see it and do not accept returns unless an error has been made in the listing.

I take no responsibility for items that are lost or damaged in the post and refunds will not be given in either case. I always get a certificate of posting and will provide you with this if you need to make a compensation claim against the Royal Mail. The Royal Mail web site has details of the maximum compensation paid.
