As pictured, a beautifully illustrated hardback book filled with original ideas for many different types and styles of wedding cake, all with full instructions and including templates at the back. This is an excellent book for cake decorators who are perhaps new to making wedding cakes, for both techniques and ideas.

The book is new and unused but may have some slight cosmetic damage to the cover from storage.

*I am selling several cookery books following a house move, sadly I no longer have the space for my large collection. Please check out my other items if you are interested, I'm happy to combine postage.*

Synopsis:
A collection of new and traditional wedding cakes, providing ideas for all brides and different types of weddings. There are 24 designs, with sections on cake accessories, table styling, favours and bombonnieres. It is divided into the following sections: Royal Iced Wedding Cakes, including a traditional Victorian cake with heavy scroll piping, the more modern look of Oriental string-work, and a three-tier hexagonal cake with ornate panelled sides; the American staked cake, with designs ranging from three to six tiers; and a sugarpaste section, containing cakes from Art Nouveau and Art Deco designs to a New England folk art look.

Divided into three sections, this book caters to all different types of weddings. Nadene Hurst writes about royal-iced wedding cake designs ranging from stylized collars and panel work to special techniques such as stringwork, brush embroidery, stenciling and airbrushing. Julie Springall focuses on sugarpaste wedding cakes, offering wonderful and distinctly different ideas, ranging from an Art Nouveau design to New England folk art. Both authors contribute to the third section, which explores the potential of American-style stacked cakes.

Each section contains eight cakes, explaining the individual techniques required to recreate the stunning designs. The step-by-step photographs and the clear, informative text make this book an ideal tool for cake decorators. Whether you are seeking inspiration for new designs or helping brides and grooms select a cake, this book will be an invaluable and timeless source of reference.
