Airfix 1/43 Jaguar E Type Coupe Series 1 Model Kit 2022 Starter Set

Introduction:

You will be bidding on a 1/43 scale model kit of a Jaguar E Type roadster. This kit was produced by Airfix and is an example of a new tool starter set produced from 2022. The E-Type was based on Jaguars D-Type racing car which won the Le Mans 24 Hours 3 years running from 1955. The E-Types combination of beauty, high performance for its time and a competitive price tag established the design as an icon of the motoring world. On its release none other than Enzo Ferrari declared it “the most beautiful car ever made”. A true British motoring legend. This kit represents a typical coupe body Series 1 variant, produced from 1961 until 1967.

This Model Kit:

This kit is complete and unstarted. The parts are all still sealed in the original bag. Instructions and decals are in great condition, the box is a bit squashed but otherwise fine too. The paints and glue are unused and bagged also, but the paint brush is missing.

Kit Features and Details:

This kit is moulded in green plastic. The kit is a new tooling of the car and features a nicely moulded single piece bodyshell with a combination of engraved and raised panel lines and surface details in all appropriate areas. It also comes with a number of finer details such as suspension, floor, exhaust and drivetrain details underneath and interior details including the steering wheel and controls, seats with cushions and all sorts of other smaller exterior trim details such as bumpers, light stacks, mirrors etc as well as finely produced spoked wheels to complete the build. Should build into a nice little replica of this British classic.

Markings:

Decals are provided for E-Type showroom plates and badges etc.
