Extremely rare Panini album
A vintage piece, published in the UK by Top Sellers in 1971
This rare collectable marks Panini's first ever venture into the UK sticker/card market
'Football 72'
The album is in excellent condition and is 100% Complete!
Panini first ventured out of their home country Italy in 1971, producing an album in Sweden (Fotboll 71) and their debut album in England (Football 72) via the London-based publisher Top Sellers
Their relationship with Top Sellers lasted from Football 72 through to Football 77, before Panini launched their first UK album under their own name with Football 78
This is a vintage card collection from Panini and it is a 100% Complete Full Set!
It is in very good condition with no writing anywhere in the album
The staples show sign of rust, expected due to age, which can be seen in the photos
The 2 centre-pages are loose from the staples, but otherwise in excellent condition
Most of the cards are in excellent condition, but some do have age-related marks on them as you can see in the photos
The album is stored in a sealed protective bag and comes with card backing
Also here is the opportunity to own two different cards for Mike Doyle of Manchester City - very rare!
The original set of cards for this album contained an error card, #202 Neil Young of Manchester City
Instead of Young, the player depicted was an action shot of Mike Doyle
Therefore Panini released a correction card which was a headshot of Neil Young
The actual Mike Doyle card (#200) was a headshot of Doyle
This album has the correct Neil Young card in 202, but the 202-error card in place of 200, which is the correct player for it's location, but none-the-less is not the original Mike Doyle #200 card
For completeness, also included with this album is the real #200 card Mike Doyle and this is a loose card in excellent condition which you can see in some of the last few photos in the listing
It can be stuck in place of the other Mike Doyle card, or can be kept loose for posterity
