Hofner Violin Bass "Vintage" -'63 H500/1-63-RLC-O 2023 [SN Y1124H039]

2023, Aged '63 Spec Violin Bass!

This violin bass is a reproduction of the '63 spec that Paul still uses today, with an impressive aging process.
Body is spruce top with maple sides and back. The neck is 2pcs center maple and the fingerboard is rosewood. Scale is 30" and nut width is 41mm.
The PU is of course the original staple top, and details that make fans smile, such as the double pegs, the red washer on the jack, and the rear pickup mounted near the bridge, have been beautifully reproduced. The well-known "BASSMAN" sticker and certificate of authenticity are also included. Also included is a pickguard with serial number on the back, mounting bracket, strap, and strap pin. There is also a hand-selected sticker on the back of the head for those of us in Japan who are very particular.

The overall condition is elaborately aged, and it is difficult to see any damage or signs of use. There is no damage to the back of the neck, fretboard surface, or frets, and the accessories have been carefully stored, which suggests that it was kept in a collection.

The neck is in good condition, and the truss rod can be adjusted to tighten or loosen. There are no string marks on the frets and about 90% of the strings are left. Currently, the string height is adjusted at about 3.0mm on the 12F 4th string side and about 3.0mm on the 1st string side.

The condition and accessories are both in collectible condition and can be recommended for those who are thinking of buying a new one. The aging process is very realistic and cooler than before, and it looks pretty good! The neck is not like a normal bass, but it is a bass with a lot of character. The hollow body makes it sound like a wood bass when muted with a fat sound. This is a sound that many players, not just Beatles fans, should try!

For international shipment we use EMS (Express Mail Service) provided by the International Postal Service or DHL. EMS and DHL are safe, fast (approx. 4 to 14 days worldwide), and fully insured. If you have a preferred choice of courier (which you have your own account for) and would like to use that courier, you may talk to one of our International Sales Agent directly.Please note that we do not ship our merchandises by vessels at sea, only by air. Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges.These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. In the case that the buyer neglects to pay import duty and the package is returned to us, we will issue a refund upon arrival however the original shipping cost, PayPal fees, and a 15% restocking fee will be deducted.

Return Policy

In general we do not accept returns unless in the following exceptional circumstances:


  • Transport damage: Damage caused during shipping. Please check for any damages to your package before signing for your shipment and if you find any damages, report it to the shipping company immediately.

  • You received the wrong item: You received a different item than what you ordered.we would of It is extremely rare that we send the wrong item but in case it happens, course take it back.

    • In the case of any of these reasons, please email our staff within 24 hours and make the subject of your email "Return request". Please be as specific with the details as possible.
    Do not discard any of the packaging, manuals, papers, parts or accessories the item has been supplied with, and in particular, please do not remove protective film from any of the instruments pickups, pickguards, control plates, etc.

    A full refund of the purchase price (minus bank costs, PayPal fees, shipping costs, duty and tax) of the goods, or exchange will be made once the goods are returned to us in the same condition as when they left our premises.

    Please note! We do not accept returns for any other reasons. This means that you can not return an item simply for not being satisfied with what you purchased and we therefore suggest you to do enough research about the specific model prior to ordering.We will gladly provide our expertise beforehand to make your decision easier.
