Tuned 12-string pedal steel!
This 12-string single-neck model from Marlen, one of the most popular brands of pedal steel, is a 7-pedal, 5-knee lever E9th/B6th universal tuning model with a wood body and stage-ready rose pink mica upholstery. Please see the chart in the picture for pedal and knee lever settings and tuning details.
The exterior of the body remains in relatively clean condition, although there is some tarnishing and minor rusting of metal parts. Also, the rubber caps at the tips of the regs are two different designs. I believe one of them is non-genuine. One of the caps has a crack in it, making it slightly easier to remove.
It has been set up by a pedal steel specialist. It is very stable with no play or wobble. While robust and dependably built, it is lightweight for its equipment compared to the show-badged and Emmons products of yesteryear. While over-specified for entry-level players, if you are aiming for Ren Takada or Greg Leeds, you will need a 12-string. 12-string pedal steels are in limited supply, regardless of brand. Please consider purchasing a 12-string pedal steel as soon as possible.
We have a staff member who is a pedal steel guitar player. We also offer simple lectures for beginners in the store (reservation required). Please feel free to contact us.
