Please find for offer a wonderful portrait painting of a young lady, dating to circa 1840-50. Watercolour on paper and presented in a period gilt frame (glazed). The painting depicts a three-quarter length portrait of a young lady wearing a fine silk dress and holding a flower. The portrait is excellently observed with strong draughtsmanship and a high level of detail to the face, with other areas comprised of confident loose brushstrokes. The painting is unsigned.
