The Pflueger Medalist is one of the best known and most widely respected fly reels ever made. Many long term fly fishers have owned or used one of these at some stage.  This reel is a  model 1495 at 92mm diameter.  it is a bit unusual for one of these reels in that it still has virtually all of its original paintwork.
