Print looks good, though it has a few minor imperfections, specifically a few superficial lines on the black background that aren't noticeable from face-on, but if you slant the photo in certain directions they are visible. This licensed and authorized reproduction print of the original portrait was carefully removed from the book Yousuf Karsh Portraits of Greatness. It was printed in 1961 using soft inks and sheet-fed gravure processing and represents a unique achievement in the history of printing. International collaboration was required to represent Karsh's art as faithfully as possible. Canada, Great Britain, Holland, and France teamed up to face this challenge and faithfully represented Karsh's extraordinary range of tones. The result is so close to the quality of Karsh's original mat-finish prints, Karsh himself noted, "for the first time the photographs that have been my life's work were reproduced by a mechanical process with complete fidelity." The surface of these prints is very delicate therefore should not be touched.
