If you're looking for a small painting on silk that packs a punch, look no further. This is an original work by the noted Austrian artist Heinrich Lersch signed, and titled by the artist. This piece is very bright, very colorful, and makes one smile. It's what I like to call 'happy art'.
Something that just makes this piece all the more interesting, is a handwritten note on the back of the framed piece, in gorgeous penmanship. Please see the picture to see what I mean.
This painting is in very good condition, and it's been around for some seventy years. The reason I've concluded the age to be around seventy years, is because I have two other pieces dated 1949 sent to the same couple from Vienna Austria. Great art is timeless, and this is one of those timeless pieces that stirs contemplation and draws the eye even after so many years. I'm one of those people that has an aversion to the new trend of wholesale corporate art, wherein the canvas print I have up on my wall is likely shared by a million other individuals.
I like to know I have something unique. I like to know I have something that is one of a kind, and as such I've made it my life's mission to find great art, offer it to my customers at affordable prices, and do my small part to end the cycle of seeing the same print hanging on someone's wall that I saw in the men's restroom at my local chain restaurant.
I recycle my art frequently, and this gives my customers to acquire some great pieces at more than reasonable prices. When I run out of room on my walls and I acquire a new piece, an older piece goes up for sale, knowing that someone else will enjoy it as much as I did.
I know I'm ranting. Forgive me.
As I was saying, this piece is paint on silk, and is very well executed.
The frame measures 16" x 19". The silk itself measures 8 1/2" x 11".
Please peruse the pictures I've included, and see of what I speak. Unique, extremely rare, beautiful! And all for the price of what one of those heinous canvas copies would cost at the local wholesaler.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate.
