Asmussen et al. (1986) used gpr to delineate soil series (lakeland sand, Bonifay sand, Fuquay sand, and Tifton loamy sand) within soil mapping units (fig. They concluded that cpr could graphically display varia tion in depth to argillic horizons for different soil series along a transect and that cpr was more accurate when depth to the argillic horizon was relatively deep (greater than 50 cm).
