It does turn on. However, it does not take you to the Home screen due to a huge backlog in Windows Vista updates long overdue on my part. I just didn't use enough to keep up with those.

You're better off reinstalling Windows altogether, since Vista required so many updates maybe install the next windows version that it will accept.

I am first owner and bought it as a floor model at Circuit City when Vista first came out.

My friend gave me a smaller PC I no longer need this one.
