VINTAGE SWISS ANGELUS 8 DAY FOLDING TRAVEL CLOCK-WORKING BUT WORN CASE

This is a travel clock designed to last. The outer folding case is made of metal which has been leather covered.  When closed, the clock is fully protected from the world outside. As I hope the pictures show, its the leather cladding that has suffered over time, mainly on the sides. It has the gilt stamp of "Hardy Bros" who would have been the retailer. c1950.

The clock however, is fully functioning. The Swiss, 8 day, jewelled movement is running nicely, keeping pretty good time. The dial bares the famous name of Angelus, who are renowned for the quality of their timepieces. It measures 4 1/4 x 3 x 1 1/2 inches when fully closed.

Either forgive its hard earned wear, or possibly recover, either way, a quality timepiece from a quality Swiss maker.
