1. The original rechargeable batteries which are still in the original battery pack (which is included in the lot, see pic), have at some point leaked and do not work. I have not tried to remove the batteries and so they are still sealed in their holder with the original plastic covering. There is a small amount of corrosion on one of the metal terminalsinside the Walkman but this appears to be minimal and I reckon could be easily cleaned off.

2. The machine appears to be in working order and plays when connected with the Sony mains lead supplied, however no sound comes through the ear/headphones (not included as part of the lot). Both play & FF/F rev all operate OK with the tape spindles going round and the counter working correctly. I do have a short video of the machine working but can't upload it to this listing for some reason.

7. Original packaging - polystyrene insert as shown in pic, + original outer box (in v poor condition)

I'm not an expert on this kind of thing and so I'm sorry I can't be more specific on its' condition. Plugged into the mains, it appears mechanically sound and operational, ie with the spindles going round & the counter working, and physically, apart from the trace of battery leakage on just one of the stainless steel battery contacts (see pic), it is in very good condition, having been stored in its' original packaging on a shelf. The control buttons all appear to function cleanly and positively and as one would expect, but as I say, no playback sound comes through the headphones.
