Artistic porcelain
Starting from the technical concepts and stylistic features of the Capodimonte porcelain school, respecting the tradition of the artisan workshop and with meticulous research into materials for continuous product innovation, these enchanting figurines are born.
The entire creation process takes place in Vicenza, Italy, where expert craftsmen, model makers and painters they take care of the pieces, finishing each statue down to the smallest details and giving each face its own expression.
These children's figurines represent the childish world with its purity and naivety, a more modern and contemporary representation like their particular expressiveness.
Collectibles or gift items, but also particularly valuable wedding favors:
The emotions they convey can easily convey a thought, a message to
whoever wants make a precious gift, but it can also be a furnishing object.
Here are other figurines from our collection. . .
Production phases.
SCULPTURE
Starting from a block of clay which is modeled until obtaining that face, that expression of the object you want to represent.
THE MOLDS
The sculpture is cut into several parts and a mold is made from each one.
THE MOLDING
Porcelain is a mixture of kaolin, feldspar, quartz and water. The casting that is poured into the mold.
FINISHING AND ASSEMBLY
Removed the pieces d from the moldsthey need to be smudged and refreshed.
The figure is recomposed by assembling the various components.
Finally, all those details that need to be made by hand and which are the merit of craftsmanship are applied.
THE PASTRY
Here comes what we believe to be one of the elements that most characterizes us.
By studying the characteristics of the materials we created thin sheets, created with a special tulle immersed in porcelain. Then we developed a method that allows us to imprint decorative motifs typical of fabrics on these.
The sheets thus decorated and still in a plastic state are cut into the desired shape to "dress" the figurines.
These sheets placed in the oven transform from fabric into porcelain, so our porcelain pieces look like they are made with real fabric.
The hair is fine porcelain strands that are combed from time to time onto the bare head.
These processing phases are very delicate because every error causes defects in cooking and extreme care is required when handling the sheets without damaging their decorations.
COOKING
Each piece is dried and further dry finished to remove any defects.
While cooking at 1300°C, the porcelain mixture reaches its melting point.
DECORATION
After cooking at high heat, the bisque is cleaned and sometimes smoothed and decorated.
According to the so-called Capodimonte technique.
Finally there is the color firing, or third fire.
QUALITY CHECK
Finally, any details such as bag straps or violin strings are added, cold applied to the finished piece.
The pieces are carefully checked one last time.
Every object produced by Sibania is absolutely unique.
Both in the creation of every single piece.
Both in the technique of production that has no equal and makes it inimitable.
