Great for desks

Due to prior experience with this product (with units that do not float), I felt it was better to make sure the product works beforehand which this item has been confirmed to be. Item was taken out of box only for the few minutes to test it and to have pictures taken. Batteries are included. 

From prior experience, this product is one that takes some time to get a proper feel of making it balance and float. My advice is to hold the item with both hands (palms up) below the head and feet and lower it to the center of the base, starting a few inches high and slowly lowering it down. It could take multiple tries and if it sticks to the base I would recommend to restart and lower it again rather than to try and adjust it on the magnetic force that you will feel. I got it to work in under 5 minutes so have some patience and you'll get a feel for it eventually! Once the item is floating, it will stay afloat until the item is turned off.
