Daniel Content 1902-1990 he was a freelance artist and illustrator for cosmopolitan, McCall’s . Colliers, readers digest. And he traveled with the USO in WWII.

This is a very handsome man with striking blue eyes that stare right at and through you. He appears to be naked under a sheet. Nothing but his shoulders exposed.

This is signed Dan Content Kunming 1945. #1 Upon taking a piece a completely different piece of Asian artwork out of an old frame. I found these , a picture of Arthur E. Summerfield United States, postmaster general. And an original charcoal drawing.

This is drawn with charcoal, some white, pastel and blue for the eyes. The paper is age. Ware to edges small tear . It appears if it has been crumpled at one time and then flattened out.

I believe this might be Mr. Summerfield in his younger years . The ears, hairline etc. .. so… possibly they were friends ?

At any rate, it is fascinating to me these were together. US. Military was in Kunming China in 1945.
