This auction is for Lime Green Pearl "BatJet" PORSCHE 356 on a Vintage HO Road Racing Series tuned chassis, built from an original Aurora Hot Rod Chassis from a Master Case. Classic Miniature Motor Sports was the ame of my business back then. In the early 2000's did a series of custom painted cars from a series of resin caste cars from BRP, many of which were featured on Tom Bowman's Customer Car Page when BRP was making these BatJet racing bodies. This was the very first of the cars that I painted and detailed from this collection. These cars were a very limited production, and this body style is not often available. These inovative at the time bodies featured flared fenders to accomodate the wider wheel sets used for racing. Some also featured weighted running boards along the sides for better handling. These were all blank resin shells, painted, decaled and clear coated by me. These have all been used mostly for display, but were built to race using NOS AURORA Hot Rod Chassis from a master case, Wizzard front ends and brushes, and JW .225 double flange rims with ground slip on silicone tires, in lieu of the spinge silicones we used back then.
