Presented for auction is this superb Solid Sterling Silver & Enamel Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes (RAOB) Roll Of Honour Masonic Jewel Medal Earl Langton Lodge No.7903, hallmarked for Birmingham 1957.
This superb vintage RAOB solid silver & enamel jewel is from the Earl Langton Lodge No.7903, the top bar has a red enamelled crown with "ROLL OF HONOUR" enamelled in blue, the central plaque has the roll of honour for 1st, 2nd and 3rd degrees and the suspended jewel is enamelled in red, white and blue. To the reverse it is engraved "Bro. Walter J. Woodrow Earl Langton Lodge No.7903 Exalted 6-11-57". It is hallmarked to the reverse with the Birmingham assay office Anchor, the Lion Passant denoting Solid Sterling Silver, the Date letter H for 1957 and the Makers mark F&S, the bars and central plaque are also hallmarked, please see all the additional photos as they form part of the description.
Measuring 5" long approx. It is in excellent used condition with no dents, dings, splits or repairs, just usual wear/tarnish consistent with age/use and weighs a heavy 52.3grams by my electronic scales, which includes the ribbon/pin.
