Presented for auction is this superb Antique Wedgwood Cobalt Blue Jasperware Teapot & Cover c.1924.
Produced by Wedgwood this superb antique teapot and cover circa 1924 is finished in cobalt blue jasperware with applied neoclassical white cameos and trees and leaf cameos and is finished with a lift off lid with similar white cameos applied, superb quality item/craftsmanship. It is impressed marked on the base in capitals WEDGWOOD along with other impressed marks including 24 which I believe dates it to 1924, please see all the additional photos as they form part of the description.
Measuring 5" high to the top of the lids knop x 8 3/4" handle to spout x 5 3/4" in diameter at its widest point approx. it is in good used condition there is a tiny fleabite chip on the base edge, a small chip on the inner edge of the spouts rim and one on the top of the spout and two chips on the lids inner rim one large and one small please see photos 9, 12, 14 & 15, nothing too serious at all and consistent with its antique age and use over the years.
