Back in the day when I used to be a die-hard collector I would be overjoyed if I was able to add a rare variant to my collection.

One of the best ranges that came out in 1997 from kenner was the freeze frame range. I just love the idea that you have a still from the film that you could hold up to the light that showed that figure where it appeared in the film, shear genius.

When this R2-D2 was first released the narrative on the freeze fame was "shutting down the Imperial trash compactor" but some executive in the toy department decided that this description wasn't entirely correct and he was shutting down the death Star trash compactor so therefore all subsequent freeze frames were changed fairly quickly.

So here it is for sale my beloved collection bit by bit I will be listing as I have been doing for a few years now but I really have have to say goodbye to this collection as life has taken a different turn and it's time to let go.

I just hope there's a collector out there who knows what this variant really is worth.
