Miniature Vintage Chenille Pipe Cleaner Pose Dolls Black, Pets Made in Japan 3"

These wonderful pipe cleaner dolls were made in Japn in the mid 20th century, and from the collection I obtained them from, I am estimating pre-war. These dolls are hard to find in any condition, especially in such wonderful condition.  The dolls stand just 3" tall, and have wonderful detail--silk heads with painted facial features,k bodies and accessories are made of pipe cleaners. Two of the dolls are walking dogs on leashes (one also holds a basket of flowers), and the third is a rare black doll playing a guitar or ukelele. They are on painted wooden bases which are marked "Made in Japan" (well, two of them have this mark; on the other one, just the MADE part of the stamp hit the doll base.   

 Condition

Dolls are mint and bright in color. Some scuffing to the wood bases (see photos).
