REDUCED FROM $299.00. Antique Late 1800s Hand Carved in High Relief Lava Cameo in Sterling Silver Circular Setting with C Clasp, Engraved 1888.The lava is most likely from the Pompeii area. This circular shaped pin measured 19mm in circumference, 7mm in depth, and set in 925 sterling silver metal with a C hook & hinge with cover on point end. Please see the engraving & date on back in last picture.Wonderful Antique Victorian Hand Carved Lava Cameo. It is engraved on back in cursive "H M D 1888". A wonderful little treasure this is. The woman has a beautifully carved period Hair style adorned with flowers at the crown and dress seen from neckline. Very artfully executed!!Antique Lava Cameos are rare and hard to come by. Just imagine this cameo has been around for 130 years! It is not new, it is not mint. Please zoom pics.It is presently just a brooch.
