Description
"Fathom" is a compact reverb pedal with multiple functions that perfectly balances WALRUS AUDIO's sophisticated ideas and the highest audio quality.
In addition to 4 types of sophisticated algorithms, mod (modulation) and dampen (reverb reverberation tone) controls are provided, and two soft-touch footswitches allow you to create one-action effects and long sustain with reverb decay. The possibility of new play styles is also expanded, such as by creating effects.
From Hall & Plate, which is delicate and beautiful until the reverb disappears, to Lo-Fi, which has both warm and cheap characteristics, to Sonar, a shimmer reverb whose majestic reverberation creates an overwhelming world view, each has a distinctive individuality and artistic sense. The reverb algorithm is a collection of Walrus Audio's cutting-edge technology.
[FATHOM Momentary Function]
■ bypass foot switch
When the effect is off, you can press and hold the bypass switch to turn on the effect only while the switch is pressed (the effect will turn off when you release your foot). When you want to apply a reverb effect to just one part of a song, you can apply the effect with a single action, contributing to your unique play style.
■ sustain foot switch
When the effect is on, hold down the sustain footswitch to maximize the decay of the reverb reverberation. The decay of the reverberation is expanded only while the switch is pressed, creating a beautiful and dreamy ambient effect that continues and slowly decrescendos.

The mod switch changes the amount of modulation in 3 steps.
In Sonar mode, the modulation effect is turned off at the LO position.

Reverb decay time
●dampen
Tunes the tonal texture of the reverb reverberation (decay).
Clockwise the tone becomes darker,
Counterclockwise direction makes the tone brighter.
●mix
Adjust the amount of reverb component.
The amount of reverb increases in a clockwise direction.
At the 2 o'clock position, the original sound and reverb sound are 1:1.
[FATHOM trail mode]
The smart bypass feature allows you to select the trail mode of the reverb.
Trail mode naturally attenuates the reverberation (decay) when the effect is turned off. In the other mode, the effect is turned off and the reverberation is also cut.
You can switch bypass mode by pressing the bypass switch, connecting the AC adapter, and holding it for about 2 seconds. Repeat the same operation again to toggle between the two bypass trail modes.

Fathom is a unit of length mainly used to measure water depth, and represents 6 feet = 1.8 m. As a verb, it can also be used to mean ``to probe one's thoughts, to infer, to understand.''
Walrus Audio's Fathom is a deep-colored die-cast enclosure called "Arizona Teal" designed with original artwork by artist Stuart Dooley. It depicts a lonely submarine lost in the depths of the ocean, approaching the origin of the deep-sea mystery "Julia", and is a concept illustration for Walrus Audio's chorus/vibrato pedal "JULIA".
