On
display is the book “100 Years of Farm Journal” by the editors of Farm Journal
magazine. Copyright 1976. Published by Countryside Press a division of Farm
Journal, Inc. ISBN: 0-385-12522-4. 251 pages. Hardback in good condition with
good binding. Illustrated. The inside pages have no ripped, torn or stained
pages and have some light brown fading on the page edges. The very last page
has a light “crinkle” showing that the book might have been stored in a damp
environment. The dust jacket does have some wear on the front and back with
some light staining on the back as can be seen in the pictures. In the
pages produced here from the earliest
years of Farm Journal magazine you will catch a glimpse of rural life as it was
after the Civil War, in proper Victorian era, and in the “golden age” of
agriculture just prior to World War I. All here in original ads and stories
cataloging changes from backbreaking labor to abundance that stuns and feeds
the world.
