1926 Malacca wood and 9ct gold hallmarked walking stick or cane.
The pommel is fully hallmarked for 9ct gold and the London assay date for 1926 and the makers mark for Jonathan Howell & Co Ltd.
The pommel is a full top gold cap.
Mounted on a Malacca shaft with it's original polished red deer antler ferrule to the base.
It measures 91.5 cm 36 inches in length, the pommel is 2.5 cm 1 inch wide and 1 inch 2.5 cm long.
It's in excellent condition but with some very minor signs of age and use as you'd expect this age.
Surface marks dinks and scratches on the gold but no holes, splits or repairs.
The grade A Malacca shaft is excellent with no damage or repairs. A few surface marks where the fibres of the wood have been worn. Being a fibrous wood it's strong but light weight.
