Pass ( sticker-patch / satin ) for the September 12, 1993 ( 9/12/93 ) Show
at The Spectrum ! in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania ( PA ) !!! This being of course,
the Tony Reonegro designed G.D. Backstage Pass design of a Philadelphia
Eagle ! - with a ' Steal Your Face ! ' right in the Eagle-Eye !! ... for the '93
Fall Tour Show ! at The Spectrum !! And, as you can easily see from the
bright & vivid photos provided ... this Philly Eagle has one-thing on
his mind - as you can see it clearly in this Eagle's Eye ! ... a Grateful
Dead ' Steal Your Face ! '. Arguably the Ultimate ! Logo / Symbol in All !! of
Rock & Roll !!! Designed by Bob Thomas & Owsley ' Bear ' Stanley in
the Early-1970's ... this is a G.D. Logo that truly has no-equal ! With,
probably Bertha " Skull & Roses ! " being the only direct competition for
that Award ... always doing her very-best to compete - Since 1966 ! At
this point ... in Time & Space ! the Grateful Dead were closing in on
the
" 50-Shows at the Spectrum !!! " mark & achievement - which they eventually
did accomplish on the Fall Tour in October 1994. Way too many " Moments of G.D. Magic !! " at the Spectrum, right ?
Actually, I've actually tried to count - no kidding ... and ' tally-marks '
go sky-high when you start counting the Red-Hot ! G.D. moments in Philly -
with
that ' Infectious ' East Coast Crowd Energy ! Personally, I'm pretty crazy about
5/4/81 right now myself ( Wow !?! ) but that's a whole different ball of wax - and, for a
different
time. Gotta love talking Dead Tapes ! & Moments of Live-Dead Magic ! - Yes
indeed !! And ... the Creaky Ol' Spectrum ! definitely had more than it's
fair-share ... to say the very-least ! This 9/12/93 Pass is really one of
the very-coolest designs of the
Early-Mid-90's Era - in my own personal opinion ... and this design was only
used in '93 & '94 - with this one being the Inaugural
1st ! use ever of this design by GDM ! And with the ' Philadelphia Eagle '
theme going on strong - I really have no doubt that it was this specific
Philly Spectrum run that Reonegro had in mind when creating this
wonderful design. And yes indeed, you guessed it ... a design
( naturally ... ) by the '90's G.D. Backstage Pass Master ! ... Tony
Reonegro !! I like to call this one " The Philadelphia Eagle's Eye !!! " for all obvious reasons ... and especially since here a couple of Decades later - since the Eagles made it ' back ' to the Super Bowl ! - 1st time since 2005 !! So, you know - as long as they don't knock
the Bears ! out of the Playoffs ' next-year ' - then, I'm fine with it. Ha! But,
with all G.D. seriousness ... this Pass is undoubtedly one of the
Coolest ! of All-Time for the G.D. ! - and certainly for Philly !! too. And, especially
when the '90's rolled around - and G.D. Backstage Passes were getting
Ultra-Bright ! - Highly-Artistic !! - and Ultra-Creative too !!! Wow ... and
Musically ? on this 9/13 night of the 3-night Spectrum run ?! ...
Cumberland Blues ! - Samson ! - Truckin' > He's Gone - Throwin' Stones
> Lovelight ... and, you betcha - The Other One !!! So, this here
Philadelphia Eagle ! had the ' Steal Your Face ! ' Eagle-Eye !! on the
" Right-Night " for this Philly Spectum run ! - Fall Tour '93 !!! ... Enjoy
!!!!!
