Grateful Dead Backstage Pass ( sticker-patch / satin ) for the April 24, 1984 ( 4/24/84 ) Show at the New Haven Coliseum ! - in New
Haven, Connecticut !! As with most all of the
" Vintage Car / Auto " Grateful Dead Backstage Passes ( used only in
1984-1985 ) ... here's one for the true-lover of Vintage Auto ! This just
isn't any Car, Truck, or Hot-Rod here ... as we are talking about a 1930's
Vintage " Milk " Truck !! How clever ... and how very-cool ! A
" Pure " Milk Truck - done here for the Dead ! With ' Slogan ' &
All ! On the back of the Truck it reads " Be xxxx With
Pure ". And I believe the ' covered ' word is supposed to be
" More " ? You know kinda like ... won't you try just a little bit
harder, can't you try just a little bit More !! So yeah ... better drink
your Ovaltine ... oops, wrong decade - as I meant your " Pure ! ". And the very best part - at least to my eye, is... take a close, close - Close !
look at that front ' License Plate ' ... as it reads " DEAD " !!!!! And, this ride
is being driven ( naturally ... ) - by a Grateful Skeleton !!?! Now That ! is
some seriously Grateful ! attention-to-detail ... Wow !?! So, You had Better
drink some Dead for your Head !!! Yeah ... '84 Spring Tour !!! The time
where Garcia slates himself right up there with who ? What do you
think ? Page, Hendrix, Iommi ... McLaughlin ? The point I'm making
here is simple ... the Meanest ! of the Mean !! in fret-board attack all throughout
this ' gateway ' period of magical guitar, speed & distortion-heavy
period. So yeah, no better time then to drink your Milk ! And as
they say, supposedly it'll make your bones strong ... so go on & shake'em -
