Up for auction is the EDOBAUD 2nd Class Coach. Golden yellow paint scheme with gold lettering. I purchased this a two other EDOBAUD cars years ago because of their interesting and curious design. EDOBAUD cars are comprised of numerous materials referred to as "Machine Age" including tin-plate car bodies, aluminum roofs, wood floor, plated hardware, brass wheels, fabric accordion fold vestibules, and steel trucks. From what I understand these were sold in the high end Paris department store: Galeries Lafayette and other stores presumably. If someone has other information about EDOBAUD I will update description. They appear scaled to 1 gauge but feature small wheel sets perhaps close to 'O' scale. EDOBAUD manufactured trains 1928-1939 for both passenger and freight, but the line-up was not extensive. I tried to cover all parts of this car in detail plus overalls, but condition as can be seen has multiple wear conditions to describe: roof has dents and scratches throughout/fabric vestibule are intact but one is a bit tired/car bodies show paint chips, scratches and rust/trucks and other misc parts show rust and wear. Please carefully review the photos to fully assess condition. Great display piece. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
