Pair Gaudy Welsh Flow Blue Wagon Wheel Pattern 5" & 7" Staffordshire Plates.

Rare, beautiful antique plates from the United Kingdom. They are glossy and present themselves well. Some of the gold trim on one of the plates shows some cosmetic wear due to their age.  There are no chips or cracks and are in very good condition.A lovely pair that display beautifully and are a nice addition to any collection.

Gaudy Welsh is an earthenware that over 150 factories have been established as producers during the 19th century. Most Gaudy Welsh was made in England for the American market. 

These fabulous Gaudy Welsh plates are the "Wagon Wheel" pattern, circa 1875-1890. The color pallet is exceptional with cobalt blue and copper luster.
