If this is not the best neck you ever felt, I will pick it up and it won't cost you a penny to look at. Just look at the last picture.There are NO fret tangs and beautiful rounded edges.

  WHAT IS ROASTED ?

Roasted maple necks undergo a special kiln drying process which involves heating the wood to over 200 degrees in a special kiln, removing the moisture from the wood. This process vulcanizes the wood, making it stronger. The big advantage is that after this process, the wood becomes much less susceptible to moisture and climate changes, resulting in a more stable and predictable neck. This will also minimize the need for adjustments . This process will also greatly enhances the color and bring out the figuring of the wood and also adds sustain.
