This is a very rare 1970s Matsumoku (Japanese) made Strat copy (with 'F' decal added, which is easily removable if you prefer). This is all original apart from one new top quality 250K pot. Maple fretboard and neck with a vintage white body and its original, naturally aged pot covers and PU covers. Has its original 3-way PU selector too. Really has that genuine 'classic vibe'. (I've got students with the new Squire 'Classic Vibe' Strats, and this is better.)

It's just had a rebuild and complete setup with the amazing Denis Robinson / Heywood Guitar Doctor, who has waved his magic wand over it and brought it back to life! He's done a few guitars for me. (Please see the screendump from his Facebook page in the pics).

Denis has levelled all the frets (about 4 were too high), done a fret dress and rolled the fretboard edges, together with smoothing the fret edges (so has nice, smooth edges to the neck). He's set the truss rid/ neck relief, the intonation and set the action nice and low (7.25 radius neck, with a slim taper C shaped neck, which is just over 1.5" or 41mm in width at the nut; thickness at the 1st fret is 20mm and at the 12th fret is 25mm - this is accurate as I'm able to measure it it. This is not a chunky U shaped neck as on the actual 70s Fender Stratocaster it's trying to replicate.

He's also added 1 x new pot (as one had come apart) together with effectively rewiring it (the wiring was rubbish to be honest and was "almost as thin as human hair!" as far as Denis was concerned). Trem is set to float nicely as well. Strung with 10s.

I've had loads of Strats over the past nearly 40 years, and this plays almost as well as my 2007 American Fender Highway One Stratocaster! The original ceramic pickups sound suprisingly really, really good! I'm amazed how well its come back to life.

Obviously due it's age it has dings and scratches on the body, but nothing you wouldn't expect of an instrument of this vintage.

I've got other (actual Fender) Stratocasters, so don't need this.
