On offer for you is this grand antique Georgian chain necklace of exceptional quality.

Hailing from the early 19th Century, this necklace is modelled out of solid gold-toned pinchbeck which consists of numerous bumpy textured links woven together into a thick chain style that mimics rope.

It is a heavy and robust example, weighing in at 73.6 grams with a total length of 38.25"; making it one of the longest pinchbeck chains on the current market.

At this length, the chain is incredibly versatile and can be worn in a single long strand, looped twice around the neck, or wrapped around the wrist up to six times for a textured cuff look.

The chain is completed with a large matching barrel clasp that has a unique and rare seashell figural pin. A true pinnacle piece for any antique jewellery collector!

Excellent Antique Condition.

The chain is in phenomenal condition for its age. The clasp opens and closes securely. Totally original with the exception of two jump rings to one side of the barrel clasp which have been well matched.
