YAMAHA AE-11 early 70's Sunburst

Since the dawn of domestically produced guitars in the 1960s, Yamaha has developed many unique original models. Especially since the 1970s, it has produced hit models such as SG and BB, and has received high praise both domestically and internationally, especially among Japan Vintage fans.

This time in stock is the full acoustic model "AE-11" that was lined up in the early days of the brand around 1967.

【body】
Overall weight approximately 3.1kg. The deep hollow body has a deep sunburst color, and the material is spruce top and maple sides and back. There are general signs of use such as scratches, dents, and dullness of metal parts, but there are no major scratches and considering the model year, it is in very good condition.

【neck】
The neck is maple with a rosewood fingerboard. Unlike the successor model "AE-12/18" from around 1973, it features a fretboard that uses a 0 fret. We have all the tuner covers that tend to be out of stock, and although there are slight variations in the hardness of the windings, they are working without any problems. There is some wear and tear on the frets/nut, but they have been adjusted at our shop, so playability is good. The 2-string bridge saddle seems to have broken once, but has been repaired with adhesive, and the 2-string saddle screw and cap nut have also been replaced. The nut width is approximately 42.5mm, and the thickness is modest, but the neck shape is somewhat angular and U-shaped.

[Electrical system]
The controls are the orthodox [2 volume/2 tone/3-way pickup selector switch], and the pickups are two original humbuckers with black chrome covers that are typical of this period. This is a high-quality jazz guitar that has a rich, boxy sound and a clean output sound.
