This very decorative jug or pitcher was thrown and hand painted by Andrew Hazelden. Although on first glance it may seem to be in the typical Aldermaston style, it has hidden depths, Andrew has established a twist within the decoration, which is absolutely all his own. The dancing hares are reminiscent of prehistoric cave paintings and show great movement within the fluidity of the confident strokes. It is surely one of his best pieces for Aldermaston. It measures 21 cm tall, 12 cm across the rim, and 8.5 cm across the base. It is in very good condition, being free from chips, cracks, and scratches and would make a lovely addition to any collection of British studio pottery.  Thanks for looking!
