This wonderful amber glass vase has a jewel like central enamel fish taking centre stage in blues and greens, whilst all over the rest of the surfaces little silver minnows dart out of gold tufts of weed. Is it just me, or do those little fish seem to be smiling! The vase also has amber tadpoles falling from the top rim, and rather bizarrely, elephant handles! It measures 19.5 cm tall, 7 cm across the rim, and 6 cm across the base. This lovely item does have some problems commensurate with its age and use. There is a crack to the base, this seems stable, and two tiny chips, one to the rim, the other to the base. There are also some scratches. Please study the photographs as these form the best part of my description. Despite this, it is a rare and beautiful piece that displays very well, and it would make a lovely addition to any antique glass collection. Thanks for looking!
