This rare piece of history is so charming and ready to be your new conversation piece!

1880s (circa 1884)

Antique James Heeley Company Wier 1 Model is Similar to the popular Pullezi Corkscrew.

This Ultra Rare and Extra Long Expanding unit was made in Surrey, England

Concertina Corkscrew

Wier 1, Compound Lever.  ( Marshall Arthur Wier)

Patent 12804 25

The stamping/branding on the corkscrew is a bit difficult to read, but much if it can be identified by use of light and magnification (loupe).

It's in Great condition for the age.

The ring on top articulates back and forth as well as the screw.

The entire unit expands from 6 inches closed to whopping 13.5" fully extended!

This extra long length makes for an incredibly bold antique wall display or prop. The long length is what makes this corkscrew unique amongst all the others. The weight is 9.3 Ounces.

This has been in my Great Grandmother Mary's  home for about 40 or so yrs in Corning NY (as in Historic Corning Glass/Pyrex Central)  and until recently another 35 yrs in my mother's home, we have a lot of neat oldies that remind us of family and bring us joy and this one is just an extra we don't have room for.  Mom would love for someone else to enjoy this corkscrew for their oldies display. From our home in Upstate NY (next to Seneca Lake area wine Country) to your home!
