PMCv2: Panasonic Black Level (MLL) Restoration Device

What is a PMCv2?

Simply put, a PMCv2 (which stands for Panasonic MLL Clearer, version 2) is a device that connects to the “secret service connector” inside the back of your Panasonic Plasma television (model years 2008-2010). Once installed, the PMCv2 periodically and automatically resets the black level of the TV to its original, inky black, fresh-out-of-the-factory settings.

Will this work with my model TV?

I've already done the research!  Verify your TV model on the PMCv2 product page (PMCv2: Panasonic Black Level (MLL) Restoration Device).  That page explicitly lists all model TV's that are supported.

Wait, are these new?

Yes!   While PMCv2's are out of production, as mentioned on a recent newsletter update (PMCv2 Spring 2024 Update), I found five sealed and ready to ship PMCv2 devices sitting in a box in the garage.  I have decided to post them one-at-a-time on eBay, auction-style, with an opening bid of the original asking price (USD$50). With only five available, this is the most fair way I could think of.

Will any more be produced?

It's doubtful, but you can always put your feedback in the latest poll on the PMCv2 product page:
