Vintage 1967 Lost In Space Metal Dome Lunchbox & Thermos (no cup)

This was my lunch box as a kid and purchased brand new in1967. But I lost the cup.

NOTE: The cup is missing from the Thermos. I have seen them on Ebay for sale for less than $15.00 – they are original authentic and came with the sets of this year. There’s always a few for sale. I was going to simply buy one and replace it but decided it was best to sell the set as-is for authenticity.

This item is a highly collectible item in good shape. Colors& graphics are still bright. Item is used and does have some wear and minor scratches and some pitting on the chrome. Box is complete with working latch,handle & thermos wire. Metal Thermos is complete but as noted above the plastic cup is missing. The screw on Thermos cap is in good shape and screws on perfectly and the rubber seal and plug have no cracks or holes. All the plastic parts on the Thermos are in excellent condition with no cracks or color fading. As you can see in the pics the chrome ring around the base of the Thermos has slight rusting through the metal on the inside of the ring in a couple of places – but look closely at the pics, I hope they show it clearly. The latches and chrome snaps have some pitting and rust spots. There's no problems with the snaps or box seams, they all line up perfectly. I did not attempt to clean any of the rust off to maintain the original condition. It has been carefully stored and cared for since I used it as a kid. It has no major scratches or dings into the metal that I can see. Please look at the pictures for condition before bidding.
