For sale is a pair of Vans Old Skool sneakers. These ones were themed with Nintendo console images. They are brand new and size 9 (US sizing). These are extremely rare early pre-production sample. These were made in small quantities for the purposes of quality checking and marketing photography work. I used to work in the electronics industry and traded someone a pair of sample headphones for these. However, I never got around to wearing them and they've sat for many years.
If you look at the photos there are a couple of differences. First, note the stamping of "Sample, Not for Sale" inside the both shoes where the shoe size tag would normally be. Also, the hang tags carry internal Vans markings and info. For obvious reasons, these never came with a box or the production hang tags. This is exactly how they were sent out before the launch.
Because of the very unique nature of these shoes, they're really targeted to the shoe collector rather than someone who simply wants to wear them. If you are in the market for a pair to add to your collection, you absolutely cannot beat a pair like this. The chances of something like this coming up for sale again is virtually impossible.
