Offered for sale is a beautiful antique late 19th/ early 20th c Qi'ing dynasty Chinese embroidered wall hanging featuring 2 Foo Dogs in the center surrounded with other Buddhist auspicious objects.
Embroidered in dark blue color threads using satin, brick, and petite point stitches.
The material of the embroidery is some type of mix of a wool with a little bit of cotton (not silk) and it is of off white color with blueish tone.
The embroidery measures 74” (188 cm) long x 14” (35.6 cm) wide.
Condition: GOOD ANTIQUE CONDITION OVERALL, CONSIDERING THE OLD AGE OF THE PIECE. STAINS HERE AND THERE (NO DARK STAINING), AND A TINY HOLE NEAR THE CENTER (NEAR FOO DOG’S HEAD- SEE PICTURES). OTHERWISE GOOD. FOR CONDITION REPORT PLEASE, REFER TO THE PICTURES!
