This is a beautiful piece of furniture. It's a vintage Chinoiserie breakfront, all hand painted on a black lacquered finish. You can see the artist's signature in the second picture provided. This was made in the mid 20th century by Union National of Jamestown, NY. There are 3 glass shelves inside the upper section with grooves for displaying plates. The cabinet doors open to reveal wood shelves in the lower section. There are lights inside that plug into a regular 120 VAC outlet. Check these out on the internet, and you'll see similar items listed for twice this price.
