Splendid Lithographic poster created, circa, 1940's, Signed, on lower right, by Basque artist, Julio Garcia. It is an Original, Lithographic poster, on paper, with a vivid color palette. It was made to promote tourism in the magnificent region of the Basque Country. The Basque country is a region apart in Europe: a territory straddling two countries, France and Spain, with an ancestral but very much alive language and a cultural identity still very much marked. This poster shows the tuna fishing, which is an emblematic fishery of the Basque Country. It was made to promote a fishing competition. Marvelously appropriate framing presentation.
