HENNING Hand Carved Wood Troll Ski Sled Gnome Figure Norway Mouth Open Tooth 

This listing is for a hand carved troll on skis by Henning from Norway. The figure is marked on the bottom, carved by hand in Norway. He has a very expressive face with green eyes, a big nose, mouth wide open and showing a tooth. He is sitting on his skis with a pole in each hand. He measures 3.75 inches tall x 3.5 inches long. The condition is very good.

This is some history on the carver Henning Engelson. He started his business, named Henning, in 1948. His workshop was located in Kapp. His business grew and and became a leading Norwegian souvenir maker. Henning contributed to the traditions of Norwegian carving and was inspired by nature and folklore.
