This is a model 9, 21 jewel Bunn Special Railroad watch made by Illinois Watch Co. in 1920.

The movement has 21 jewels, a fully capped Swiss lever escapement with double roller, gold timing screws and a sprung micro-regulator. Gold (alloy) train wheels, gold jewel settings, black enamelled script, and a lovely damascened finish to the movement plates.
This is a really high quality piece that has recently been fully serviced and also has a new mainspring, it is running strong and keeping good time in all positions.
The watch is stem wind and lever set (withdraw the small lever by the 1 and rotate the crown to set the time).

The case is in excellent overall condition with just the tiniest of tiny dings to the bottom of the main band. All of the gold is good all round including the pendant and bow whilst the crown shows some little wear. Screw on/off front and rear covers with both doing so easily and both closing down square and tight. Nice case!

White enamelled Montgomery style dial in good order with just a couple of very faint hairlines that are really hard to see with the naked eye. Good set of blued steel hands under a good, domed acrylic crystal.

Overall a very nice railroader in lovely condition that works as it should.

Thank you for looking and please check out my web-site which can be found by googling  aapws  here you will find many fine watches including railroaders that are not listed on ebay.
