It's very good for its age, at least 60 years old. Sounds good & loud enough. Sorry I can't tell you more about its early history, like where it was made. But, about 10 years ago, it had a minor body repair & was upgraded with a piezo pickup, a bridge was added (whatever it was before was missing) & a slipping wooden tuning peg was replaced with a proper machine head.

Acoustically it sounds much better than a cigar box. The wood of the body top is slightly darker than in the main photo.
