Obverse with bust of Admiral Nelson, reverse showing a panoramic view of the naval engagement. Edge plain.

The obverse of this medal features an alternative, 'unapproved' and therefore unadopted bust of Nelson. This is not one of the 1966 John Pinches restrikes (which were struck in silver and numbered on the edge), but a contemporary original. Extremely rare with few examples known.

Good Extremely Fine with attractive, prooflike surfaces.
