This cameras fits and works well with all AI and newer AI-s AF, Auto Focus or Manual Focus lenses. When work with AF lenses, the lens only operates manually.
This camera has never been used, is in absolute brand new condition inside and out and in 100% working order.
Cosmetically, The camera is in new condition inside and out. There is absolutely NO dings, NO dent, NO brassing, NO scratch, no scuff, NO strap mark anywhere on this camera . Leatherette surface is smooth and looks fresh, has no any visible sign of wear or dust. All the buttons and levers are free of any sign of wear, in mint condition. Back door has no any kind of scratch or brassing and is super clean. Flash hot shoe and eyepiece has No sign of use at all. All the letters and number are crisp and bright. The titanium shutter is in like new condition also. Top cover is free of mark, in absolutely mint condition. Viewfinder housing is pristine, in absolutely Like New condition.
Functionally, the camera has been fully tested and 100% functional as it should. Light meter is right on. Shutter fires accurately at all speed. Film chamber has no any sign of wear. Battery compartment is corrosion free. Pressure plate is clean. Titanium Shutter curtain is mark-free, super clean. All films rails are very clean. The "A" mode I.E. the aperture priority function (which allows you to set the aperture through the lens and the camera will select proper shutter speed for easy shooting) works perfect. Film advance and film rewind are silky smooth. Shutter speed dial is firm and snappy and stops correctly. Mirror and focus screen are super clean and free of mark of any kind. Mirror cushion and light seals are both in mint condition. All moving parts or controls function perfectly.
This FE2 camera has the famous titanium shutter. Nikon used aluminum shutter on all its later productions.
This camera will be packed securely with all packing materials.
